WHEN ARE CLASSES CANCELED? Our classroom is in Fairfield county and the shooting range is in Franklin county (4 minutes apart from each other). So we’ll canceled class if the either county has a Level 2 or Level 3 Snow Emergency during the scheduled class time.
WHEN YOU CAN CANCEL? If you have to drive through any county that has a Level 2 or Level 3 Snow Emergency then you can cancel and transfer to a different class date without having to pay. You’ll have to contact us to get a reschedule coupon code.
WHEN DO WE MAKE THE DETERMINATION? We’ll do our best to communicate any cancelations as quickly as possible. Our communication will include an email and a text message to the email address and phone number we have on file for you.
If you see on the news that Fairfield or Franklin county announced a Level 2 or 3 for the class time, then you can assume that it will be canceled. Here is a link to 10TV’s Snow Emergency Page.
We don’t like to cancel based on what weather predictions. Living in Ohio we’ve come to not always trust the weather experts. So we’ll wait until we actually get the Level 2 or 3 emergencies.
WHAT IF THERE ISN’T A LEVEL 2 EMERGENCY BUT I MISS THE CLASS? If you cancel or don’t show up for the class date and there isn’t a Level 2 or 3 snow emergency, then you’ll be required to pay the reschedule fee. For the concealed carry class this is a $50 fee. For instructor level classes it is around $100.
Snow Emergency Classifications
LEVEL 1: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously.
LEVEL 2: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work. Motorists should use extreme caution.
LEVEL 3: All roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. No one should be driving during these conditions unless it is absolutely necessary to travel or a personal emergency exists. All employees should contact their employer to see if they should report to work. Those traveling on the roads may subject themselves to arrest.
